Meeting on Academy Award: MOI Union Minister held meeting with responsible persons

The coordination meeting on Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Presenting Ceremony for 2019, 2020 and 2022 was held at the meeting hall of Film Promotion Division of the Information and Public Relations Department in Bahan Township, Yangon in the morning on April 9.

At the meeting, the Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn said several coordination meeting have been held regarding with the Academy Award Presenting Ceremony, as the time has run out to hold the further meeting, the necessary works are to be discussed, approved and carried out in time. The venue where the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Presenting Ceremony to be held has been inspected and requirements have been coordinated, correctly scrutinizing and selecting the Academy Awards and Fashion Awards are needed.

All are wanted to inform that the ministry has not involved in the scrutinizing and selecting processes for the awards but the motion picture professionals and artistes themselves scrutinized and selected.Next, the attendees discussed the related sectors regarding with the plans to hold the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Presenting Ceremony successfully. Then, the Union Minister coordinated necessary matters in responding to the discussions and gave a speech of conclusion.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister visited office of Myanmar Motion Picture Organization, viewed the artistic talent show of Shwekyo boys and girls who will assist at the academy award presenting ceremony, gave words of encouragement and presented New Year gifts.
