Meerkats, lizards on display at pet fair in Shanghai, China

Exhibitors at Pet Fair Asia in Shanghai show off exotic animals including meerkats, lizards and snakes. The five-day trade fair also includes pet food displays and a dog grooming competition.

Pet Fair Asia is the largest exhibition for the pet industry across the vast Asia-Pacific region and one of the largest in the world. Since its birth in 1997, the show has witnessed the rising of the Chinese pet market and has kept a constant y-o-y growth pace.

In 2024, the 5-day event is set to reach the largest scale up to date, covering a total exhibiting area of 300,000 sqm around 17 halls and gathering well over 2500 exhibitors from China and all over the world.
