Medical Specialist Tour: The specialist team gave medical treatments in Hpa-An

With the aims at enabling of every citizen to attain full life expectancy and enjoy longevity of life with the accessibility of necessary healthcare by the people in the process of improving all-inclusive healthcare system for the longivity, healthfullnes and fitness of the entire people by receiving necessary treatments from seeing the pro­fessors and specialists, the Ministry of Health is carrying out the field super specialty medical tours comprised of pro­fessors and specialists from Yangon, Man­dalay and Nay Pyi Taw to offer medical treatments in the and Regions and States.

The Specialist medical teams from Yangon General Hospital, Specialty Hospital (500-bed-Yangon) and Yangon Children Hospital travelled to Hpa-An Township under the arrangement of the Ministry of Health and gave the medical treatment to the local people together with the medical specialists and health personnel from Hpa-An People’s Hospital on 8th and 9th of June, 2024.At the medical super specialty tour, the people not only from 7 Townships of Kayin State but also 2 townships from Mon State and people from inner Township and villages saw the medical super specialty team.

A total of 1,496 patients including 111 patients with cardiac diseases, 131 with gastrointestinal issues, 46 with chest related medical issues, 12 with Cancer related medical issues, 37 with child neurological ail­ments, 117 with neurological issues, 10 with neurological surgical issues and 561 with General health issues were given medical treatments.

Among them, 78 tested with Echocardiography, 3 with OGDS, 3 with Colonoscope, 22 with CT scan, 133 with Radiography, 289 laboratory tests, 46 hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) tests, 68 Ultrasound tests and 236 ECG tests and the 2 patients were given the neurological surgical operation.

Kayin State Chief Minister U Saw Myint Oo, Chief Justice of State High Court, State Ministers and officials greeted the professors and specialists, expressed words of thanks, provided cash of honor for the medical tour and comforted patients and donated lunch, it’ reported
