Medical Services: 18 Nurses Return Back To Hpa-An

18 nurses Kayin States returned back to Hpa-An township on 10thNovember after performing their duties at the Covid-19 treatment center in South Dagon township of Yangon Region.

According to the officials, 20 nurses have been assigned to Covid-19 treatment centers in Yangon Region. It’s been four times of dispatching medical staffs from Kyin State to Yangon Region. This group coming back now is from the 2nd batch.

Among the 20 assigned nurses, one was returned already since the end of October after finishing the duties and the other one remains to continue to perform duty in Yangon. So, this time, 18 of them returned back to Hpa-an township.

Upon arrival, matron from Hpa-An Township People’s hospital together with principal of Nursing and Midwifery Training School in Hpa-an and concerned officials welcomed them.

One of the nurses who have performed duties for 40 days at Phaunggyi Covid-19 Medical center shared her experiences.

Senior Nurse, Hpa-An People’s Hospital, ThinzarHlaing said :We had to take 24 hours duty and got off times to rest for 48 hours after duty.
I was assigned to the place there are many illness cases and elders and all nurses get back to Hpa-an without any infections with Covid-19.
We do work and follow the rules and procedures systematically, mostly in taking off our PPEs.
I worried about myself, but after seeing many covid-19 patients, I did my best for the patients."

Upon arrival, they will be put 7-day quarantine at the quarantine center and the covid-19 test will be conducted to them, it’s learnt.
