Medical Field Trip: Providing healthcare access to SSB insured workers

Likewise, the Social Security Board (SSB), operating under the Ministry of Labour, is currently conducting a medical field trip to provide healthcare services to insured workers in industrial zones across Yangon, Mandalay, and Bago Region.

Deploying three Mobile Medical Units, the program, scheduled from 9th to 15th February, coincides with the 77th anniversary of Union Day and will cover over 9,000 insured workers from Hlaingthaya Industrial Zone in Yangon Region, PyinOoLwin in Mandalay Region, and Gyobinkauk and Nattalin in Bago Region.

As of January 2024, there are over 1.2 million insured workers under the Social Security Scheme, providing health care services at three SSB hospitals, 96 township clinics, 60 departmental clinics, 61 contract clinics, 28 contract clinics for gynacology, 15 delivery units and a traditional medicine clinic.
