The two-day training on news reporting and writing jointly organized by Myanmar Press Council and Information and Public Relations Department was opened from June 15th to 16th.
The opening ceremony of the course was held on 15th of June at community center, Insein Township, Yangon.
The chairman of Myanmar Press Council U Ohn Maung (Myin Mu Maung Naing Moe), committee members, officials from the Information and Public Relations Department and staff attended the ceremony.
Myanmar Press Council Chairman delivered the opening speech and presented media laws and ethics books for the trainees. Politics and media sector, loyalty to media, scrutinizing the fake news and real news, data based journalism, role of social media, media ethics were discussed at the ceremony.
The aim of the course is to improve the news performance. 25 staff from Yangon North District joined the training course.
