Mechanized Farming: Demonstration for summer paddy harvesting

A demonstration for harvesting of summer paddy model plantation was held at Tamoatsoe Village-tract in Amarapura Township of Mandalay Region on Saturday.

Chief Minister U Myo Aung and Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Tin Htut attended the event. Prior to the harvesting, they met with the local farmers and stressed the need to transform into mechanized farming practice, utilizing the scientific cultivation methods effectively for double cropping which could achieve benefits.

They also explained the assistance being provided by the government for agricultural development. The demonstration then followed with paddy harvesting using the harvester, and measuring the yield of paddy.
