Measures for Sports Sector: Union Minister encourages athletes for 33rd SEA Games

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan met national selected sports contingents who are camping at Wunna Theikdi Stadium B in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

At the meeting, Union Minister said that it needs to cooperate among supervisors/coaches and athletes to achieve success in the respective sport sectors. The Ministry is monitoring accommodation, catering and trainings of the athletes and coaches need to train the athletes systematically.

He added that the athletes need to conduct the necessary trainings to improve their capabilities and skills. They are urged to try hard to promote the prestige of the country through sports and to grab more medals than previous years in the 33th SEA Games to be held in Thailand in 2025.

Then, Union Minister inspected renovation of the turf of Wunna Theikdi stadium which is being undertaken by Friendship Power Co., Ltd. and gave necessary instructions on timely completion of the tasks within target time and its long-term sustainability.
