






While in Myitkyina of Kachin State, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung gave guidance to the staffs who are serving at the Kachin State Director Office of the Ministry at AyeyawadyYeiktha in Myitkyina on 3rd March.
First, the staffs introduced individually and in-charges of the Department of Ethnical Literature and Culture and the Department of Protection of Ethnic Rights reported on progress of works. Later, the Union Minister said that as the ministry is implementing ethnic affairs, the staffs need to help develop the language of the ethnic people, literature, art, culture and national characters and to improve their socio-economic life in line with the Article (22) of 2008 Constitution.
The Union Minister stressed the needs on following discipline by the staff and serving for the achievement of responsibilities, taking the duties dutifully, using the state fund in accord with financial rules, constant learning and security measures and taking care of health.
The staffs later then reported general affairs and difficulties on which the Union Minister and the State Ethnic Affairs Minister coordinated essentials and they also provided cash assistance. Afterwards, the Union Minister, the State Ethnic Affairs Minister and members met the Chairman of Kachin National Library Foundation. The Union Minister then provided 2 million kyats for sustainable development of library and the Chairman of the Library Foundation accepted the donation.
