MDY Investment Committee: Committee held its (5/2024) meeting

The Mandalay Region Investment Committee held its (5/2024) meeting at the Mandalay Region Government Office meeting hall on October 24. The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Mandalay Region Investment Committee and Chief Minister U Myo Aung, region ministers, secretary and officials, committee members, officials from relevant departments and companies.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister delivered an opening speech, emphasizing that investment efforts are aligned with national policies to boost the economy, enhance production capacity, and promote agriculture-based investments. He highlighted the importance of utilizing locally available raw materials in manufacturing and stressed that efforts should focus on responsible and accountable investments. He also mentioned that the committee is working to streamline investment processes, ensuring that approvals are granted swiftly and efficiently in accordance with laws and procedures.

Following this, representatives from companies that had submitted investment applications briefed the committee on their ongoing projects and challenges faced. Dr. Min Zaw Oo, Secretary of the Mandalay Region Investment Committee, also presented a report on the inspection and supervision of investment projects in the region. It was reported that the Chief Minister provided guidance on resolving issues raised during the discussions and helped coordinate solutions.
