Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone claimed the $100,000 top prize at the inaugural Grand Slam Track meeting in Kingston, Jamaica, after dominating the 400m event. McLaughlin-Levrone, who has consistently been a top contender in her field, capped off the competition with a stunning performance.In the women's short sprints, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, the 2024 Olympic 100m bronze medalist, took the victory, further cementing her place in the spotlight. 

 Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, Grand Slam women's short sprint winner said "I feel like this is a very good start, I definitely want to be part of that start. It’s been a long time coming. I know there is a lot of athletes who were greater than where I am right now or thriving to be but they didn’t necessarily get the opportunity to be paid."

Meanwhile, in the men's short hurdles category, France’s Sasha Zhoya emerged victorious in the 100m and claimed the combined title.
