The Kachin State Government held a work coordination meeting on Thursday to reorganize the matriculation exams. Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan discussed plans to ensure that all students can retake the exam, including providing revision lessons and ensuring the timely distribution of exam papers to the respective exam centers.

He called for the collaboration of all concerned parties to ensure the successful organization of the exams. Over 8,600 students sat for the matriculation exams at 22 exam centers across 12 townships in Kachin State.

The answer papers were sent to Mandalay University on March 26th, but they were damaged during the evaluation process due to a fire outbreak caused by the severe Mandalay earthquake. As a result, the matriculation exams will be reorganized for affected students in Kachin State, Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, and the Nay Pyi Taw Council area. The rescheduled exams will be held from June 16 to 21.
