







The Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe together with the Chief Minister of Ayeyarwady Region U Tin Maung Win, Commander of South-West Command Brigadier Kyi Khaing and officials inspected sitting for first day of 2023 matriculation examination at No (7) Basic Education High School, Pathein Township in the morning on March 8.
At the inspection tour, the Union Minister instructed the responsible officials to fulfill requirements in timely manner for the students who are taking matriculation exam, the exam supervisors and assistant supervisors need to serve duties complying with the rules and regulations and all those who contribute to hold the matriculation examination successfully are greatly thankful.
Similarly, the Union Minister also visited the no (2), no (6), no (1) Basic Education High Schools and gave words of encouragement to the students who are taking their exam. Next, the Union Minister also viewed the students who are sitting for examination at no (10), no (5), no (9), no (8) Basic Education High Schools, no (9) Basic Education Middle School and no (9) Basic Education High School (Myoma).
Then, Union Minister inspected Nga Thaing Chaung Basic Education High School, Yaydagun Basic Education Primary School, Yaykyi Basic Education High School, Sub Basic Education High School in Phayangu Village, Ledi Basic Education Primary School in Yaykyi Township and AnaukPhetKan Primary School, Athot Township High School, Thit Seint Village Primary School (ShwegonTann) in Athot Township, Malargwin Village Middle School, LetPanChaug Village Middle School and fulfilled necessaries.
Out of 179,832 students who registered for taking exam, 161,840 students took the exam of first day paper of Myanmar subject at a total of 863 exam centers including 858 domestic centers and 5 centers in abroad. In Ayeyawady Region, Out of 22,115 students who registered for taking exam, 20,059 students took the exam of first day paper of Myanmar subject at a total of 207 exam centers, it’s reported.
