Mathoe Thingan Offering Ceremony: The annual festival will be held in Zalun Township

MathoeThingan (non-perishable robe) weaving and offering ceremony to Man Aung MyinPyi Taw Pyan Buddha Image and Tazaungdaing lighting festival will be held in Zalun Township from the eve of full moon day to the first waning moon of Tazaungmone.

The opening ceremony of weaving non-perishable robe competition will be held on the eve of full moon day of Tazaungmone. On the full moon day, the non-perishable robes will be weaved by Kainayee loon, Than Bu La loon, Mal Madi lonn and Amara loon and will be offered to Man Aung MyinPyi Taw Pyan Buddha Image together with the offertories such as alms, fruits and flowers to the Buddha Image.

According to board of trustees, it’s the 51stMathoeThingan offering ceremony to Man Aung Myin Pyi Taw Pyan Buddha Image and three Buddha images resided at the sacred chamber of the pagoda.
