Mass Rallies: Support for People’s Military Service Law

Originally enacted by the State Peace and Development Council in 2010 as Law No.27/2010, People’s Military Service Law is set to take effect from the 10th of February 2024. The order was signed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council.

On Thursday afternoon, rallies to support the People’s Military Service Law took place in Mingaladon, North Oakkalapa, Hlaingthaya (East) Thanlyin and Kyauktada Townships, as well as Phayar Ngoteto inter-section of Twante-Dala-Hlaingthayar road respectively.

The rallies commenced by saluting state flag, followed by singing of national anthem and Zar Ti Man song together. The nationalist advocates also made discussions on the purposes of enacting People’s Military Service Law.

The participants later chanted slogans in support of the law.
