Martial Law Order No 8/2023: SAC issued Martial Law Order No 8/2023

Republic of the Union of Myanmar State Administration Council issued a Martial Law Order No 8/2023 on 22nd February, 2023 signed by the Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt. Gen. Aung Lin Dwe.

The order described that the State Administration Council has entrusted Martial Law power related to administration and judicial measures to the commander of North-West Command under Section 419 of the Constitution to exercise more effective undertakings for ensuring security, the rule of law and local peace and tranquility in the Shwebo, Wetlet and Ayardaw townships in Sagaing Region.

The military command commander himself can exercise Martial Law power as well as transfer the power to military region commanders depending on the timely changing of situations.
