Market Renovation: Stake driving ceremony for ThiriMingalar Market in Loikaw

A Stake Driving Ceremony to renovate ThiriMingalar market in Loikaw Township of Kayah State took place on Wednesday morning with the attendance of Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin and many other concerned officials.

The ThiriMingalar market, the famous landmark of the state, was burnt down intentionally by terrorists on December 10th 2023, with the aims to create instability in the market area. After driving the stakes at respective places, the Chief Minister heard reports by the officials and coordinated the requirement.

Then, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the construction of temporary market for the sellers to be able to sell their products peacefully during the renovation period. The Chief Minister also instructed to supervise systematically for ensuring market stability, selling clean and fresh foods and cleaning of market area.
