Marches in Latin America mark International Women's Day

Women marched on Wednesday across Latin American capitals to mark the International Women's Day. The thousands in the marches in Santiago, Bogota, Mexico City, Quito, and Rio de Janeiro showed a diverse attendance, spanning across young and old, Indigenous, and those who stand for various feminist causes.

"We are making a call for the governments of all the world to support the feminist agenda, to open all the spaces to protect women," said a former judge of the Mexican National Electoral Tribunal, partaking in the march in Mexico City center.
