Mara Vijaya Buddha Park: Progress of construction works inspected

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspected the work progress of the Mara Vijaya Buddha Park in DeckhinaThiri Township of Union Territory in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Officials reported on the plans to convey the Mara Vijaya Buddha Image onto the throne, growing of trees and flowers for greening environs, construction of religious edifices,inscription of Pitaka scriptures in Pali and Romanize Language under the guidance of the Sayadaws and receiving of the donations.

The Prime Minister gave instructions on systematic implementation of the environmental greening tasks. The Prime Minister and party later viewed the screening of the documentary video of the construction of the Mara Vijaya Buddha image, inscription of the Pitaka Scriptures and Stone Inscription buildings.

They also observed the miniature models of the buildings and sample books of Pitaka Scriptures in Pali and Romanize Language versions. The Prime Minister and party then inspected the completion of Mara Vijaya Buddha Image and throne, retainable wall, stone inscripture buildings, Thudhamma Prayer Hall and Muchalinda Lake. Upon completion, the Mara Vijaya Buddha Image will be the largest and highest Marble Buddha image, not only in Myanmar but also in the world.
