Mandalay Region Chief Minister’s Cup: Inter- Region U-25 Men Futsal Touranment commenced

The opening ceremony of 2024 Mandalay Region Chief Minister’s Cup Inter- Region U-25 Men Futsal Touranment was held at the multipurpose stadium of MandalarThiri Sports Ground in Chanmyatharsi Township on Thursday morning with the attendance of Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Chief Justice of Region High Court, region ministers, many other concerned officials and invited guests.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister stressed that the tournament is organized to achieve the best outcomes in upcoming Region and State Futsal Tournament which will be held in Nay Pyi Taw in July and the 5th National Sports Festival which is going to be held in December this year as well as for the emergence of the excellent Futsal players who can raise the prestige of the nation.

He also encouraged the athletes to make exerted efforts in the tournament upholding the spirit of sportsmanship. Following the recitation of sports oath by the athletes, the Chief Minister and party cordially greeted the athletes and provided sports equipment.

They then enjoyed the match between Nyaung Oo District Team and Myin Chan District Team. It’s reported that the final match of the tournament and award presentation ceremony will be held on 12th of June.
