Mandalay AgriTech 2023: Opening ceremony held in Chan Mya Thazi, Mandalay

The opening ceremony of Mandalay AgriTech 2023/ Mandalay Power and Machinery Show 2023 took place at Mandalay Convention Center in Chan Mya Thazi Township on Friday with the presence of the Deputy Ministers for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi and U Bo Bo Kyaw, officials concerned and invited guests.

During the opening remarks, Deputy Minister Dr. Aung Gyi said that to accelerate for the development of agriculture and livestock sectors of rural areas where 70 percent of country’s population lives in,farmers and breeders can able to study and witness necessary equipment including technologies, machinery, seed and fertilizer, veterinary medicines and animal food at one place. Besides, round table discussions by agricultural experts will be added during the event.

During the show, growers are displaying and selling their locally roasted coffee, macadamia, organic vegetables including avocado. So that, growers can get a chance in expanding new market and also consumers in urban areas can taste fresh and safety vegetables with affordable prices.

Likewise, solar systems, batteries and modern technologies are being showcased and can be easily bought by the visitors. Then, the Deputy Ministers and invited guests viewed around the displayed booths. The event set to held from 8th to 10th December and over 70 agricultural and industrial companies will showcase their products with 140 booths.
