Man Arrested at LDP HQ in Tokyo

Police in Tokyo say a man has thrown what appear to be Molotov cocktails in front of the headquarters of the main ruling Liberal Democratic Party early on Saturday morning.

Police arrested the suspect on suspicion of obstructing public order. No one was injured. The man then tried to ram the vehicle into the premises of the Prime Minister’s Office but was blocked by a fence. He attempted to throw an apparent smoke bomb onto the grounds but was prevented from doing so by the police.
