Malaysian PM Speaking at the CIIE Opening Ceremony

The China International Import Expo (CIIE) provides an opportunity for companies throughout the world to expand business, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said at the opening ceremony of the 7th CIIE and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum in Shanghai on Tuesday.

Malaysia is the “Country of Honor” at the 7th CIIE. In his keynote speech at the opening ceremony, Anwar stressed Malaysia’s commitment to a shared future. Themed ‘New Era, Shared Future,’ the 7th CIIE runs from November 5 to 10.

The event features participants from 152 countries, regions, and international organizations, including representatives from 77 countries and organizations for national exhibitions and 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions for business exhibitions. It also sets a new record with 297 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry leaders attending the event.
