





Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe together with officials made a field trip for the achievement of monsoon paddy cultivation of cooperative society farmers in Yangon Region on Monday. The Union Minister arrived at Min Lwin Kone village in Hlegu township of Yangon Region and met with executive members of Moe Lwin Agriculture and General Cooperative Society and membership farmers.
In response to the reports of officials, the Union Minister stressed on extension of quality paddy strain cultivation in addition to the cultivation of current paddy strain to increase income and said that their Ministry and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation will provide assistance for agricultural method and irrigated water. He also called for repaying loans of Myanma Agricultural Development Bank, Emarald green project and state economic promotion fund within the target time and coordinated essentials on the needs of membership farmers and regional development.
Later, the Union Minister oversaw cultivation of monsoon paddy on 120 acres and fulfilled the needs. From there, the Union Minister looked into machinery Warehouse of the Departmentof Rural Development in Pale Myothit township of Yangon region and called for systematic operating of machinery, maintenance tasks, storing of construction materials in a systematic way and hostels. The Union Minister then held meeting with the staffs at the offices of Department Rural Development in Bahan township and Dagon Seikkan township.
During the meetings, the Union Minister urged them to strive for the success of the Ministry’s policy, aims and objectives amd make efforts for achieving projects that are being undertaken by the state economic promotion fund, rural development tasks and MSMEs, to respect each other, to follow ethics of civil servants and emphasize on development of rural people and increasing their income and welfare of the staffs coordinated essentials on the needs of the staff.
