Mahamingalar ceremony: SAC Chairman and wife attended the ceremony

The Mahamingalar ceremony of offering day meal to the members of Sangha marked the Buddha Day which falls on the Kasone Full Moon Day was held at the Aggadhipati Sasana Beikman of Maravijaya Buddha Park in the morning on Wednesday and attended by the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Day Kyu Kyu Hla and officials.First, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister offered alms-food, flowers, water, fruits and candle light to the Buddha Image in the Aggadhipati Sasana Beikman.

After the opening ceremony, the congregation led by the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister observed the five precepts administered by the Chairman of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee, Presiding Sayadaw of Thanlyin Township Min KyaungPahtamapyanSarthintaik AggamahapanditaAggamahasaddhammajotikadhaja Dr. BaddantaCandimabhivamsa. Then, the congregation took the Metta Paritta Sutta recited by the members of Sangha.

Next, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister, wife and officials offered the offertories to the members of Sangha. Then, the congregation took the sermon delivered by the Secretary of the State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee, Presiding Sayadaw of Dhamma Samiddhi monastery of MasoeyeinTaikthit, Aggamahapandita Aggamahasaddhammajotikadhaja Mahadhammakathika Bahujanahitadhara Baddanta Vasetthabhivamsa and shared the merits gained.

After that, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Day Kyu Kyu Hla and officials offered the day meal to the members of Sangha led by the Chairman of State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee, Presiding Sayadaw of Thanlyin Township Min Kyaung, it’s learnt.
