Magnitude 7.3 quake strikes in South Pacific near Vanuatu

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said a magnitude 7-point-3 earthquake has struck off the Vanuatu Islands in the South Pacific Ocean. The quake was recorded at 1:47 UTC on Tuesday. The center observed tsunami of point-25 meters above tide level in Vanuatu. It said there was a threat of a tsunami as high as 1 meter for the islands. But it later said there is no longer a tsunami threat.
