Maduro presents Venezuela-Iran tech fair

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro on Thursday inaugurated a tech science fair that seeks to partner Venezuelan and Iranian companies to deepen their close relations and sort tough US sanctions against both nations.

Organizers said the Scientific, Technological and Industrial Expo Fair marks a new era in the burgeoning relationship between the governments of Caracas and Tehran. Nearly 300 Venezuelan and 79 Iranian companies are participating in the Fair, which will be open to the public between September 16 and 19. Maduro celebrated some of the previous agreements between the two countries are now put into action, such as manufacturing tractors designed in Iran.
