Emmanuel Macron opened Wine Paris, international wine fair in Paris on Monday. This marks a notable appearance by the president at the event after about a decade.

The 2026 edition of Wine Paris is expected to be larger than ever, with about 6,500 exhibitors and around 61,000 visitors from around the world, making it one of the largest global wine & spirits trade fairs. Macron’s visit underscores political support for France’s wine industry, which faces challenges such as climate pressures and global trade tensions.

Wine Paris is an international wine, spirits, and beverages trade fair held annually at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. It brings together producers, buyers, and distributors, sommeliers, and spirits professionals for tastings, networking, and industry meetings.
