Macron inaugurates new crime-fighting headquarters

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Nanterre on Wednesday to inaugurate the new interministerial headquarters for the fight against organized crime (EMCO) on the premises of the National Judicial Police. 

The newly inaugurated headquarters will bring together all the intelligence services of the major ministries and investigative agencies, starting with OFAST, the office dedicated to combating drug trafficking. The headquarters will be placed under the aegis of the National Directorate of Judicial Police, which handles 80% of organized crime cases.
