MACCS Launched: MACCS Lauched At Myanmar-China Border Gates

The Myanmar Automated Cargo Clearance System implementing by Myanma Custom Department to operate at Muse and ChinShweHaw border gates on Myanmar-China border  has been launched as of April 1st, it’s reported.

The launching ceremony of MACCS was held via video conferencing system and the director general of Custom Department gave an opening remark.

Present at the occasion were the senior officials from the Custom Department Headquaters, custom department officers in Muse and ChinShweHaw, the representatives from trading related departments, UMFCCI, Myanmar International Freight Forwarders' Association, Myanmar Customs Brokers Association, Border Trade Merchant Association and Muse border custom brokers association.

By using MACCS, the import/export process will be shifted to the automation system from the manual system and the trade and commercial procedures will be smooth and easy and the trading works will develop.

If the MACCS can be successfully operated above mentioned border areas, the custom department will implement the system to use other border trade areas, it’s reported.
