Lula addresses Labour Day rally in São Paulo

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva attended the traditional Labour Day event organized by Workers' Unions in São Paulo on Monday.

Addressing thousands, mostly from unions and social movements, Lula presented some measures he took in his first four months in office. Some were new policies of increasing the minimum wage and raising the income tax exemption for people with lower income. Lula said he has travelled to several countries to bring foreign investment to Brazil and generate jobs again.
