




The Russian-controlled Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine is preparing for an upcoming referendum on becoming part of Russia, according to a report aired on Russian State TV on Thursday. The votes start on Friday with home voting. Deputy head of one of the local election commissions said various options have been worked out.
They will go door-to door in order not to endanger people. And everything is organized and everyone has received instructions. Over 460 stationary polling stations will open only on September 27, the last day of the referendum. It has been declared a public holiday in the region.
