London marathon proceeds without disruption

The streets of London were taken over on Sunday by hundreds of runners, spectators and climate activists as the London Marathon got underway.Kenyan runner Kelvin Kiptum won the Elite Men's category with the second quickest time in history.

Sifan Hassan won in the elite women's category.Environmental protesters said Friday that they were not planning to disrupt the marathon after two other big sporting events in Britain were targeted by activists over the past week.Some climate activists were seen protesting on the sidelines of the marathon in Westminster.
