Local fertilizer for farmer: Efforts for local MSME development

Sut Shanan Natural Fertilizer Production, General Economics and Cooperative Society is producing with one hundred million kyats fixed subsidies from the State Economic Promotion Fund in Myitkyina Township of Kachin State.

Naing Naing Maw ( Staff Officer), Township Department of Cooperatives, said " Our cooperative society was founded with 21 members and 7 executive members were elected.   The main ingredients of the Natural Fertilizer include chicken manure, cow manure, rice husk, charcoal, mustard seed oil cake, loam soil, treacle and CEM. 100 million Kyats has been provided from the State Economic Promotion Fund as MSMEs loan. As it is a natural fertilizer, it can be used safely for agricultural land and the farmers. Our Cooperative Society is selling 20,000 kyats for a 50-kg sack of fertilizer and 10,000 kyats for a 25-kg sack of fertilizer."

The factory is producing 3 tons of fertilizer between 50 to 60 bags per day. This Sut Shanan Natural Fertilizer is distributing and selling within Kachin State and other States and Regions.
