Livestock Development: Breeding Zone inspection in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area

On August 12th, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation, Dr. Aung Gyi, visited the Kangyi Livestock Breeding Zone in Tatkone Township of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. Officials provided updates on land utilization and investment matters.

The Deputy Minister emphasized the need to make efforts in developing the livestock sector, as the government is encouraging for increased production based on the agriculture and livestock industries. He also stressed the extensive production of value-added products.

Then, the Deputy Minister and party inspected pig and milch cow breeding at the Fun Hwa Breeding Farm. They continued their inspection at a private pig farm in Kinthar Village, cow breeding farms at the Shwe Myo Breeding Zone, as well as the designated sites for constructing a Bio Safety Level (3) Disease Detection Laboratory and a breeding farm for research purposes.

In the evening, the Deputy Minister and party proceeded to Kyitaungkan Village, where they inspected a caged culture fish farm situated in the Paung Laung Creek.
