Livestock and Agriculture: Presenting Vet Certificates and inspecting model plantations

A ceremony to present Certificates for Veterinary Surgeon was held at the Convocation Hall of Yazin University of Veterinary Science in Nay Pyi Taw on 24th December.

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi attended the ceremony and made a speech, urging them to strive to become the veterinary surgeons whom can be relied by the nation and its people. The Acting President of Myanmar Veterinary Council and members presented the certificates, followed by the Acting President’s speech. 

The Deputy Minister later met with the Acting President and members of Myanmar Veterinary Council and discussed that drug resistance problem becomes crucial for all living beings in today’s age, and it it needed to take consideration of meeting the international standerd norms in producing agriculture produces and marine products and drafting the law, rules and regulations in line with the changing trend of age.

The Deputy Minister later visited 24-acre model plantation for tripple crop, being implemented by Yayzin Agriculture Research Department, and inspected the crop plantations. He also inspected the chosen site for the Office of Livestock Research Department.
