Listening Ratana Paritta Sutta : Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman attended the event

On the evening of April 8, a ceremony of taking Ratana  Sutta Paritta was held at the platform of Let Loke Taung  Pagoda in Pubbathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw in the evening on April 8. 

The ceremon was attended by the members of Sangha led by Presiding Sayadaw of Aung Si Thar  monastery, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo and wife, Nay Pyi Taw Council members and their spouses and departmental officials.

Initially, the congregation led by the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman observed five precepts and took the Ratana ရတနာ Sutta Paritta and Kammavaca  recited by the members of Sangha.

Following this, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials presented offerings of essential goods to the members of Sangha, and shared the merits gained.

Additionally, in the morning on April 9, the Jivitadana fish releasing ceremony was held at the Mingalar Lake in Zabuthiri Township and the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Council members, Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee Vice Mayor and Committee members, level departmental officials released 3000 fish fingerlings into the lake as the Jivitadana or sparing of life.
