Huachipa Zoo in Lima celebrated Valentine's Day with the first anniversary the symbolic wedding of a white lion couple, Luana and Inti Kimba. The rest of the animals received food as heart-shaped gifts, which are meant to add some "mental and physical activity" to the animals.

Born in captivity, the pair of lions have been living in Peru for the last five years. They are African lions from a zoo in Mexico. So far, the lions have not reproduced, but the idea is to allow them to have a lifelong pride and eventually have cubs.
