Letter of Appreciation: Those involved in Maravijaya Buddha Image acknowledged

Under the auspices of Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Maravijaya Buddha Image was established in Deckhina Thiri Township of Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw with four noble objectives: to showcase the flourishing of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar, to make Myanmar a focal point of Theravada Buddhism, to ensure prosperity for the State, and to contribute to peace and stability in the world.

The consecration ceremony of this Buddha Image was held successfully on 1st August, the full moon day of the second Waso, amidst grand celebrations.

Members of the Board of Patrons for establishing the Maravijaya Buddha Image and its related religious edifices issued a letter of appreciation to those involved along the work processes including the donor of the enormous marble rock to be carved into the Buddha Image and well-wishers as well as the officials, members of the Sangha and laypersons of the respective sub-committees, local residents who rendered assistance in transporting the marble rock, military engineers and technocrats from Myanmar Engineering Council, officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and Myanmar Economic Corporation, military officers and Tatmadawmen from related military units, members of Myanmar Police Force, officials from respective ministries, entrepreneurs and donors who made generous donation, monks and laypersons who took part in scrutinizing process for inscribing the Tripitaka Treatises, Sayadaws, members of the Sangha and nuns for their graceful presence and participation in the grand religious ceremonies and officials from the respective fields, staff from the Fine Arts Department and students who contribute in the religious ceremonies.
