Chief Executive John Lee and senior officials voted on Sunday morning. Lee said today’s vote is crucial for pushing for reform. Lee said the priority of the new Legislative Council is to handle the aftermath and reconstruction work following the Tai Po fire, including institutional reforms and holding those responsible accountable. He urged voters to cast their ballots.
