Legal Translation Commission Meeting: Discussion on translation approval for eight laws

The Legal Translation Commission, along with its Working Committee and Working Groups, convened a meeting at the Ministry of Legal Affairs on Thursday, with the attendance of Commission Chair Dr. ThidaOo.

The meeting addressed the translation approval for eight laws, namely: The Hindu Disposition of Property Act, The MussalmanWakf Act, The Hindu Inheritance (Removal of Disabilities) Act, The Kazis Act, The Caste Disabilities Removal Act, The Myanmar Passport Act, The Fatal Accidents Act, and The Poisons Act.

The meeting is scheduled to hold for two days. It is learnt that during the current tenure of the Legal Translation Commission, five translation books have been published, ranging from Book Nos. 9 to 13. Book No. 14 is slated for publication, featuring the translation of The Myanmar Stamp Act after undergoing the final scrutinizing process.
