Legal Knowledge Training: Taninthayi Region CM attended opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of Legal Knowledge Dissemination Training (1/2024) co-organized by Taninthayi Region Advocate General office and the Department of Education was held at the City Hall of Dawei Township at 9 AM on Tuesday.

At the ceremony, Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Kyat Ko said that the law is an essential thing for a country as well as the provisions that must be followed and observed by the citizens. As the country is being implemented for the strengthening of genuine and disciplined multiparty democracy system and built the Union based on the democratic federal system, every citizen needs to understand the law and comply with it. Besides, the legal knowledge is required for everyone to prevail peace and stability and the socio-economic development.

Next, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of the Region High Court and officials watched a Video Clip sent by the Ministry of Legal Affairs.

Then, the Region Advocate General U Ohn Than gave lecture on dissemination of legal knowledge to the trainee teachers.

At the training, the responsible officials from the Region Advocate General office will lecture the Penal Code, Myanmar Child Rights Law, narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances law, the Counter-Terrorism Law, Anti-Corruption Law, Telecommunications Law, Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law and Vehicle Safety and Motor Vehicle Management Law etc. to the teachers till 8th of June, it’s reported.
