The opening ceremony of the Legal Awareness Training of Trainers (TOT) course for ward and village tract administrators was held on July 1st at City Hall (1) in Dawei. The training is organized under the management of the Taninthayi Region Government and led by the Region Advocate General’s Office.
During the ceremony, Region Chief Minister U Zaw Naing Oo delivered the opening address, highlighting that the training is being opened in alignment with the President's directives to ensure the rule of law, legal awareness, and equal legal protection for every citizen. It stands as an initiative for the public within the Ministry of Legal Affairs' 100-day plan. By gaining legal knowledge, citizens will develop good habits of law-abiding behavior.
This will ultimately support the consolidation of the genuine, disciplined, multi-party democratic system that the State is building. Trainees must actively study and note the legal subjects and knowledge taught during the course, as they are required to pass this knowledge down to the 10-household heads, 100-household heads, and village-in-charges within their respective wards and village tracts.
Following that, Region Advocate General U Htein Lin Kyaw, explained the objectives of opening the training course.
The Region Chief Minister, the Region Chief Justice, and region government ministers then viewed a video clip showcasing the Ministry of Legal Affairs' dedicated efforts for the public.
Afterward, the Region Chief Minister took a documentary group photo with the trainee ward and village tract administrators and greeted them cordially.
The officials will conduct the training for 50 ward and village tract administrators until July 3rd it’s reported.
