Legal Advocacy Training: MoLA Union Minister addressed the opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of legal knowledge dissemination training no (4) for the Senior officials was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 31st January.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo said that the training is opened under the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council at Economic Affairs Committee’s Meeting (2/2022) to carry out legal training for the Directors General and Deputy Directors General serving at the Union Ministries and Organizations to receive Diploma of Law or Legal Proficiency Certificate.

During the training, the legal matters that the Senior officials should have known such as state constitution, drafting law, scrutinizing commercial contracts, practically applied international law and ASEAN laws, applied criminal and special laws, issues on civil law and General legal advising will be lectured by the experienced persons in legal field including Union Minister Union Attorney General, Deputy Minister Deputy attorney General, Union Ministers, Chairman of members of Anti-Corruption Commission, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Union, members of State Constitutional Tribunal and advocate generals from the regions and states.

The trainees who attended to the completion of training will be awarded the Certificate of Legal Advocacy-CLA. The training will be attended by 26 trainees included Directors General, Deputy permanent secretary, Chief of forces, Deputy Directors General, pro-rectors and persons with expertise from the Union Ministries and Union level organizations.

The training lectures will be given on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 to 10:30 AM weekly for 11 weeks. The opening ceremony was attended by the Union Minister Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant, Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Minister Deputy attorney geneal, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and officials.
