Lebanese PM announces rebuilding of southern villages after Israeli destruction

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced on Saturday the launch of government-led reconstruction projects in two southern villages, Yarine and Tayr Harfa, following destruction from Israeli attacks.

During a visit to the south, Salam said the government has started implementing reconstruction as a foundation for recovery. He outlined a recovery framework that includes cash assistance, free healthcare services and guarantees for continued education for displaced students. Salam also paid tribute to the Lebanese army for its role in maintaining stability.
