



Several Lebanese reformist legislators on Friday continued a sit-in inside the parliament building for a second day, refusing to leave until Speaker Nabih Berri holds an open-ended session to elect a new president.
Lebanon’s presidency is vacant as legislators failed to elect a new president since President Michel Aoun's six-year term ended on October 30. Kataeb Party MP Elias Hankash told that he believed it was lawmakers' "duty to keep the doors of parliament open until a president is elected."
