Leaving for Indonesia : MoH Union Minister to attend ASEAN meetings

At the invitation of the Indonesia government, the ASEAN alternate chair, Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win left for Indonesia via Yangon International Airport on Wednesday morning to attend the joint meeting of ASEAN Finance and Health Ministers and ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting which will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 24th to 25th August and they were seen off at the airport by officials from the Ministry of Health. 

The joint meeting of ASEAN Finance and Health Ministers will be held on 24th August and the ASEAN Health Ministers meeting will be held on 25th August. Ministers of Finance and Health from ASEAN countries, Director General and officials of World Health Organization, ASEAN Secretary General and members, Ambassadors from ASEAN countries based in Jakarta and officials of ASEAN permanent representative office will join the meetings. 

In meeting, ­­­­ they will discuss to matters on the outbreak of global pandemic in ASEAN regions and to cooperate with financial and health sectors to emerge health system that can respond quickly and emergence of better health systems for the effective long-term prevention, control and treatment through the COVID-19 emergency response.
