Leading Committee Meeting: To hold a concert commemorating Independence Day

The work coordination meeting of the Leading Committee for organizing a concert commemorating 75th Anniversary Independence Day 2023 was held at the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

Chairman of the Leading Committee Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said that it is planned to organize a national level concert in the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary Independence Day which will fall on 4th January 2023 with the aim of entertaining the people with the film, music and dramatic arts and resuming entertainment industries that have been temporarily suspended by the COVID-19 restrictions for the people to relax happily.

The Union Minister urged all to strive for holding the concert in a grand manner on the 75th Independence Day which is a significant day for the State’s sovereignty. Later, Vice Chair-1 of the Leading Committee Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko discussed designating a specific date and participation in holding the concert.

Vice Chair-2 of the Committee Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin and Deputy Minister U Ye Tint also discussed the salient points of open theatre in Nay Pyi Taw city hall where the concert will be held, time to be set for the concert, plan for entertainment programs and to form sub-committees and work committees.

Officials and attendees reported on sector-wise arrangements for successful holding of the concert and future work programs. In response to the reports, the Union Minister gave a concluding remark.
