Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday that Russia was open to peace talks on Ukraine, but labelled talk of a ceasefire ahead of a full peace deal as ‘not serious’.

“The Europeans, including Germany and the British, say that the number one priority right now is a 60-day or permanent ceasefire. This, of course, is all not serious, although Russia is ready to negotiate with these representatives,” Lavrov said.

Sergey Lavrov mentioned that Vladimir Putin ‌was open to serious discussions about peace in Ukraine with White House envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, but didn’t confirm neither denied their sooner visit to Moscow.
