



The Launching ceremony of the Strategic Plan (2025-2029) of the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the opening ceremony of Legal Advocacy Training Course No. 5 for the Senior civil service personnel was held at the Legal Advocacy Center of the Ministry of Legal Affairs, in Uttarathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw on January 7.
Speaking on the occasion regarding with the launching Strategic Plan (2025-2029), Union Minister Union Attorney General Stated that the Ministry of Legal Affairs set the strategic plans to implement the Ministry’s responsibilities such as Legislative Draft Vetting, providing Legal Advice, prosecuting process and legal knowledge dissemination more systematically.
The first strategic plan (2015-2019 with the theme “Moving Forward to the Rule of Law” and second strategic plan (2020-2024) with the theme “Providing Legal Services for Justice” were set and implemented successfully.
The third strategic plan (2025-2029) with the theme “Building Legal Trust for the People”will be implemented by setting 5 goals and 63 strategic programs.Speaking on opening of Legal Advocacy Training Course No. 5, the Union Minister mentioned that the training has been opened under the guidance of the Head of State to carry out legal training for the Directors General and Deputy Directors General serving at the Union Ministries and Organizations to receive Diploma of Law or Legal Proficiency Certificate as of June, 2022 and the training course No. 4 has been completed successfully and a total of 125 Senior officials including the Permanent Secretary, Director General and Deputy Directors General.During the training, the experienced persons in legal field from the Union Level Organizations, Union Minister Union Attorney General, Union Ministers, Deputy Minister Deputy attorney General, Advocate Generals, retired well-experienced legal experts and the legal experts from the Ministry of Legal Affairs will give lectures the legal matters that the Senior officials should have known and the Certificate of Legal Advocacy-CLA will be awarded.
The training will be attended by 27 trainees included Directors General, Deputy permanent secretary, Deputy Directors General, pro-rectors from the Union Ministries and Union level organizations. The training will take place for 12 weeks from January 7 to March 3, 2025.
Next, the Deputy permanent secretary of the Ministry clarified the Strategic Plan (2025-2029), took the documentary group photos and the ceremony was concluded.The ceremony was attended by Union Minister and Union Attorney General, Union Ministers, Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission, members of Constitutional Tribunal, Legal Advisers, Deputy Minister and Deputy Attorney General, Advocate generals from Regions and States, Senior officials from the Ministry, regions and State level and District level law officers, it’s learnt.
